Daily Questions Megathread (July 05, 2023)
I didn't get the chance to try again this morning, but paimon.moe auto import wasn't working for me last night. Anyone else had issues? I opened the wish history and pasted the link in Powershell like normal, but it just kept saying it couldn't find the info and to open the wish history menu
is paimon.moe auto import still working fine?
I think it falsely warning since paimon.moe use script to get ur pulling info and anything that is 3rd party software (script) is consider dangerous for any antivirus software
I think you and the other person are saying the same thing but just accidentally talking around each other lol. But yes, whatever is counted on the page after the 5* is your pity number. Use a wish tracker like paimon.moe if you'd like it automated to spare you the time!
paimon.moe not working this patch or im just dumb?

It's from paimon.moe, you do need to import your wish data though. It's pretty informative with the info it provides to you.

He was not guaranteed and I saw Keqing first….. I screamed

Nope, I got the same szenario on baizhus banner and checked it on paimon.moe to make sure the standard were last.
paimon.moe proves it.

A group of Motherboard folks just spun up their own new independent outlet
I am not sure about Russian hosted, but an alternative to archive.org is archive.is. Centralized services eventually get compelled or corrupted. I setup https://archivebox.io/ on my server. Some other options have been reported here.

Show HN: Linkwarden – An open source collaborative bookmark manager
I've used Raindrop[1] for the last few years and it works well - cross device support, archived pages, and tags/folders.
Going to check out Linkwarden since I really like the idea of being able to self-host something similar since Raindrop could one day disappear (#googlereaderneverforget).
A feature Raindrop has is it can export bookmarks to a standard xml file, which I then have a script that automatically adds them to Archivebox[2] for a local copy and to add them to archive.org[3].
Does Linkwarden, have a feature to automatically submit a bookmark to archive.org along with the local copy? That would greatly reduce this setup and have it all in one tool.

If we lose the Internet Archive, we’re screwed
I wish there was an alternative to the Internet Archive with collaborative curation. You share files and people who tag and sort them into albums can download them. And if it was federated it could be just as extensive as the Internet Archive by searching files on many instances at the same time. Sadly the closest thing are ArchiveBox and wayback which won't replace the Internet Archive.
