Thanks for the feedback!
w.r.t Bypass idea 1: in the future, the plan is to have application level policy, e.g. only allow 'GET https://github.com/owner/repo'.
w.r.t Bypass idea 2: in the future, the plan is to have a policy to disable sudo. Once that is done, user code will not be able to mess with the agent.

GCM Core does support multiple users with GitHub remotes. You have to put the username in the remote URL, for example:
GCM will store credentials for "alice" only. Repositories that have remote URLs with a different "[email protected]" will use different credentials.

For most tasks I use the git command and lazygit. I do use gitsigns.nvim though, and it’s very handy to undo a hunk within neovim when my tests are messed up by a small change.11 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 13 Sep 2022
The toggleterm.nvim plug-in has some instructions for making a dedicated floating term for lazygit which has made accessing git info and commands effortless for me

Yeah but don't you think its unfair to expect vim to do "everything". You can maybe find an application which supports modal for other things. for example Lazygit, it does kinda behave like vim for commit editing and movement. In my opinion its far superiors to any vim/neovim based solution. I would gladly close my text editor or open another window with lazygit to do repo related stuff and go back to editing. So other apps with vim bindings are very reasonable solution.
