How is the Cardano developer job landscape in early 2023?
Indeed, the learning curve of Haskell is an often and justified point of criticism. Maybe things will change when new compatibility with other programming languages occur. Btw, this week I saw an interesting post in this sub about eopsin, it is a library that seeks to compile smart contracts by using a pythonic language, it sounds very promising to the ecosystem. Thanks for your anwsers!

I hate Haskell a lot. I'm really optimistic for projects like Helios.

What are the most exciting initiatives going on right now to improve the Cardano developer experience?
One of the most exciting projects imo is Helios. If Cardano is to compete with other smart blockchains, we must move away from Haskell. I consider Plutus (Tx) being Haskell-based to be a serious design flaw of Cardano's developer experience. Plutus itself is inefficient and poorly thought out. Plutarch is much more well designed, even though it's still Haskell based.
