how I can add YAML automatically?
Maybe Linter is something for you. I use it to add/remove frontmatter.
-
YAML tags vs Normal tags in Obsidian
And then i use [Linter](https://github.com/platers/obsidian-linter) the remove the "#".
-
Tool to automatically enforce Markdown style/formatting
There’s a linter plugin for Obsidian, too.

Do you start each note with a header that has the same name as the file?
I use https://github.com/platers/obsidian-linter, which can add the current file name as a header. I create a new file, press CTRL+S or CMD+S to trigger it, and everything is already in place.

easily track when files were created or modified?
You can use the frontmatter for this. I like the Linter plugin bc it can easily create and update that for you. As for linking to the calendar, there are a few ways to achieve that. You could probably use DataView with the frontmatter mentioned above, but I am not as familiar with that. I just the Calendar + Periodic Notes plugins to create daily notes using a template, which includes this:

Is there a way to display YAML information in a note?
If you use Templater plugin, it is straightforward. See tp.frontmatter - Templater

Importing Raindrop.io bookmarks into Obsidia
There have been previous articles and videos suggesting using Raindrop.io as a means to manage bookmarks (what they call "Raindrops") for the purposes of managing web content, and then later importing it into Obsidian. I found the process of importing these things to be rather tedious, first starting with a script to read the exported text files, debating about migrating that to using the exported CSV files (which I dismissed due to the irritations of dealing with CSVs), and then finally discovered that Raindrop has an API for pulling content which can be integrated into Templater. Hopefully this is useful to others, and maybe someone might want to create a plugin out of it.

Do One Thing plugin
You could do something like this in Obsidian. Perhaps add the text to the document title using Templater?

Changing parts of a note and/or OTHER notes with a template
I’ve spent some time going through the Templater docs for this but I’m not sure of exactly what to call what I’m trying to do so it’s hard to find relevant documentation.
-
Create link in same folder as current note?
The Templater Plugin comes with a tp.file.move function, which allows you to decide where your new notes should go on a per-termplate basis.

Templater Plugin Syntax Not Working in Obsidian | Example <%tp.date.now()%> remains <%tp.date.now()%> instead of today's date
Thanks, I might do the same. I tried copy/pasting the [example template](https://silentvoid13.github.io/Templater/) from the official documentation and it doesn't get parsed at all. To be fair, there seems to be an issue with plugins right now, but this was happening since before today for me personally.

Reusable/templated Checklists
Templater is definitely the fix for what ails you, if not the vanilla template plugin.
-
Use of IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) or Unicode from inside Obsidian?
Templater lets you insert templates with custom keyboard shortcuts. CMenu adds a small menu at the bottom of the screen that you can fill with any command in Obsidian, including custom ones added by Templater.
-
Is there any way to have a changing daily note?
You could do that with the Templater Plugin. You could have the prompts in a seperate file and load it inside of templater whenever a new daily note is created:
