Advice on capturing a stream from another remote OBS camera
I believe controlling a remote OBS instance can be done using the web socket plugin. https://github.com/obsproject/obs-websocket

Linux Streamers, What Tips, Tricks, and Tools Do You Use?
The only tip I'd have would be for Wayland users who suffer from not having global shortcuts work with OBS: obs-cli with obs-websocket have you covered. Set a keyboard shortcut or Stream Deck button (using streamdeck-ui) to execute an obs-cli command and you're done.

obs websocket update?
In another topic it was also mentioned that there is a Legacy Websocket plugin to allow the original PCPanel software to still connect.

OBS Studio 27.1.1
Check for OBS-Websocket, personally I use Outfield (on Android) to control when to start and stop recording/streaming, as well as switching to a different scene.

Fixing OBS keybindings on Wayland (on Fedora)
Obs-webshttps://github.com/Palakis/obs-websocket/releasesocket is a bit harder to install, the only Linux packge is a deb, and building from source is non-trivial. Get the latest release from [here](deft:ttps://github.com/Palakis/obs-websocket/releases). Then, you can install the plugin this way:

Twitch is not accessible to the deaf
If you'd rather use a plugin instead of an extension, this can work. This runs as a plugin within OBS. https://github.com/ratwithacompiler/OBS-captions-plugin

Idea I came up with this morning, not sure if it exists, but if someone wants to make it, here's the idea!
There are also OBS live captions plugins that you can install to pop up text as you speak: https://github.com/ratwithacompiler/OBS-captions-plugin

Adding Closed Captions to an Amazon IVS Live Stream
The solution that we will look at in this post will focus on broadcasting to an Amazon Interactive Video Service (Amazon IVS) live stream from OBS Studio. OBS doesn't offer native support for captioning, but there are a number of plugins available that can perform the necessary speech to text conversion and publish the captions to an RTMP stream in the CEA-708/EIA-608 format that is supported by Amazon IVS. For this demo, I've chosen to use the OBS-captions-plugin by ratwithacompiler (GitHub and plugin page). To get started with this plugin, download it and install it. Once you've got it installed in OBS, click on Docks and make sure the Captions dock is enabled.
