  • BlocKit - new WebKitGTK Adblock extension

https://github.com/dudik/blockit Hello. I've been working on a new adblock extension for browsers based on WebKitGTK - for example nyxt, vimb, surf, luakit... Notable features compared to currently available solutions are: supports both network and dynamic cosmetic filtering, automatic filter lists updating, element picker/zapper and a simple GUI (optional, configuration is also possible purely through text files). It's written in C, but uses the adblock-rust library written in Rust by the team that stands behind the Brave browser. Based on limited testing (https://adblock-tester.com/), the extension gets the same score as uBlock Origin (100%). I'm looking for some feedback - what works, what doesn't, what features are missing, what you like/dislike etc. The README should contain everything you need to know, but I will gladly answer any questions.

What about blockit[0]? It does implement some of the features you need. It's still a WIP, but I'm actively working on it and it uses the adblock-rust library from Brave, which is already able to compete with uBlock Origin.
