ytdl-core for streaming from Youtube

Looks like https://www.npmjs.com/package/ytdl-core is doing your heavy lifting and unless that's a port of yt-dlp I just don't see it. Can you point me to the right place?

I had made a Discord bot to stream music in a voice channel. The bot would use youtube-sr to run a search query, and ytdl-core would download the audio and stream. Pretty simple right?

Looking at the "helper" repo https://github.com/fent/node-ytdl-core there is the mention of support for live videos

I made a private one for my friends server using discord.js and node-ytdl. If you prefer a different language then just search for “discord bot library ” and “youtube download library ” and you can likely figure out the rest.

Today the most popular library and de facto standard is the chаlk. The chalk has rich functionality, is fast but not ideal. It lacks some useful features.

One of the libraries I used most that went full-ESM is Chalk. They released v5 over a year-and-a-half ago (November 2021) with ESM-only support and haven't updated v4 - their last iteration that supported CommonJS - since. If you go into their GitHub Issues section, you'll see a number of issues raised about CommonJS support, most of which are just responded to with a link to a post they made about switching over. Fair enough. I guess if I had to constantly answer the same question over and over, I might do the same.
