I already got caught by this - a https://github.com/nativefier/nativefier app wrapping Youtube Music doesn't work, because Google detects somehow that you are not using a trusted browser and refuses to serve.

Something like nativefier perhaps?

It's still not quite the same as Chromium webapps, which are just isolated windows in the same core process -- FFPWA spins up entire other instances of Firefox -- and in effect operates more like Nativefier (with Firefox instead of Electron/Chromium)

Multimedia servers, both really nice alternatives, I suggest using Nativefier To get a desktop version, iirc they’re web only.

Note that the lack of adblocker in nativefier has nothing to do with the lack of libraires to do the blocking but rather technical challenges with preload scripts, etc. (Not impossible but someone needs to implement it). for leetcode specifically, i use firenvim to start a neovim session in the text area that would normally be leetcode's area and then have an autocmd that looks for "leetcode" in the filename and prompts me to select a filetype.

Yea worth it. As far as good for certain languages over others: text is text. Once you’re more experienced with how (neo)vim works, you won’t want to type anywhere. Like in the browser or obsidian
