Polkadot may seem quiet now but I believe one day the ecosystem will start to grow exponentially, bringing in new users every day.
You can work with Ethereum and bridge assets over through projects like Moonbeam and Moonriver (Kusama canary net). Moonbeam is currently working on converting ERC20 standard to XC20 standard, which would make ERC20 assets movable across parachains, too.

simply put: - CKB will usher in the 2nd hard fork https://github.com/nervosnetwork/ckb/discussions/3827 - Light client, the code is done, after a round of audits, some bugs are being fixed - Open transaction, in progress - New syscall Spawn, in order to facilitate mutual calls between contracts to increase the syscall - RISC-V A extension, new mops, can optimize CKB-VM performance -CKB Tools - Kuai, new framework in development - Nexus, browser extension wallet, this is a long-term needed but missing link in the development of CKB dapp, hoping to promote the development of UTXO dapp protocol through Nexus - Axon, CKB L2, Staking and IBC support in development - Godwoken, already relatively stable, the next step is to consider how to integrate with Axon, because both are evm-compatible - Forcerelay, the next phase of Forcebridge, a decentralized relay network, is still early days
