Pixel Art Workflow?
We have a tiled Environment but also for non tiled it's an awesome Programm.. When u need big artworks I suggest a graphic tablet.. But mostly I work with my mouse lol... Limiting? No I never thought about that its limiting..I suggest u https://youtube.com/c/AdamCYounis YouTube channel for pixel art.. I learned many things there... U can even make ur own color palette and save it as default which helps a lot when u make new assets and its easy to import other palettes When u like dark themes for programs I suggest https://github.com/el-falso/monaki-theme this one :) easy to set up ^

What format should I send the file in?
Aseprite supports the creation of extensions with Lua scripting. Someone wrote a script to export to .psd and posted it here: https://github.com/Tsukina-7mochi/aseprite-scripts/tree/master/psd .

Is there a way to save .aseprite as .psd file?
A Lua script to export from Aseprite as .psd can be found here: https://github.com/Tsukina-7mochi/aseprite-scripts/tree/master/psd . In case you encounter any issues with installing the script, there is a thread on the community forum here: https://community.aseprite.org/t/layered-file-that-i-can-import-to-and-from-photoshop-gimp/743 . I've not tried this script myself, as I don't have Photoshop, so caveat emptor.
