min-ed-launcher VS HeroicGamesLauncher

From time to time you will need to run the official launcher to link you account but in general minimal ED launcher is faster. And you can configure it to run additional scripts with the game too.

I use default Proton (8.0-2 as of writing) with Ferral GameMode and the min-ed-launcher. Works just fine for me, sometimes less tweaking gets more results. Maybe try undoing some of your tweaks, because it was pretty plug-and-play for me.

You can follow this guide (a one time thing) under the Users that don't own the Odyssey DLC section to tell it to install the live version of horizons.

If you are not using Steam, I think Lutris and min-ed-launcher are worth looking into.

additionalProducts support was added in v0.7.0. Update to the latest version of the launcher in order to use the /edh4 flag.

I heared about " min-ed-launcher " and i followed the instructions but i dont know what to edit or change to switch from H3.8 to H4.0... the start option on steam is " cmd /c "MinEdLauncher.exe %command% /autorun /autoquit /EDH" " but when i try to add the 4 at EDH it just wont boot.

FYI, Odyssey players only lack the Loader entry required to access Horizons 4.0. You do still have access, but need to use an alternative loader such as the Minimal Elite Dangerous Launcher.

Heroic Games Launcher: Support is limited to Epic, GOG and Amazon but the advantage is that it can manage their games itself without the need of their own launchers. Doesn't have support for tags currently.

For "normal" games you could look yourself using ProtonDB regarding every game released on Steam and AreWeAntiCheatYet for most multiplayer games. If a game isn't available on Steam you have three possibilities. First if it's available on GOG, Epic Games or Amazon Gaming, you could use the Heroic Games Launcher. Second you could try to run the launchers through Steam itself using once again Proton. Third you could try installing it with a script or tutorial in Lutris or Bottles.

ProtonDB is a community list of Steam games rating their playability. Heroic launcher runs GOG and Epic games. Lutris and Bottles can be used to run everything else.

I was a little confused when I updated my Cyberpunk install using the wonderful Heroic Games Launcher, only to find that the game now crashes during the initial load...

It's called heroicgameslauncher, runs on Linux and works with GoG.
