Look into creating a windows VM with GPU pass-through then. The benefit is you don't actually leave the linux environment while booting windows for gaming, and the performance hit to the game is minimal. Example: https://github.com/BigAnteater/KVM-GPU-Passthrough

I'm trying to run Win10 in kvm with a single gpu (rtx 2060) using this guide. But I can't manage to work it. Did everything through guide, checked that scripts works but when I start vm it stuck on terminal's login screen and I think that GPU disconnects from the host, but it doesn't go further than that.

Hello! I'm trying to passthrough single GPU using these two guides: https://gitlab.com/risingprismtv/single-gpu-passthrough + https://github.com/BigAnteater/KVM-GPU-Passthrough On final step, when I click start button in virt-manager, I'm getting logout back to sddm. I suspect, that these two lines from "/var/log/libvirt/custom_hooks.log" are the reason:

Update: After following this guide, I now have a black screen instead of where I was locked up before, so progress? I don't know what's causing this, and of course I could not delete the QLX stuff like the guide wanted to. I'll retry the solutions on the comments here and see if I get lucky.

Hello, I made a single GPU passthrough VM using this guide https://github.com/BigAnteater/KVM-GPU-Passthrough . I can start my Windows 10 VM just fine but when I shutdown the VM, i get no video output and have to hard reset my PC. I looked at xorg.0.log and it say :
  • Error 43 on Desktop PC GTX950

Hello, yesterday I tried for the first time setting up a gaming VM. Since I'm still a total noob when it comes to this, I followed this guide on github. When I start the VM everything works fine, but if I try to install the display drivers on windows, the GPU gives the error 43.
