Top 12 PHP Frameworks For Web Development in 2024
Lumen is also a micro-framework used for developing PHP-powered web applications with 7.6k stars and 1k forks on GitHub. It is based on the Laravel framework and is specifically designed to build microservices and smaller, lightweight applications. The same team behind Laravel creates it and also shares some of its components. But, It is different from Laravel because it doesn’t offer compatibility with any additional Laravel libraries like Cashier, Passport, Scout, etc.

Any suggestions for lighter frameworks than Laravel?
There's a note right in project page:
- Slim, possívelmente o framework ideal para quem vem do Golang

Vue App with Lumen Passport API (Part I)
Lumen is a stripped down version of Laravel for building APIs. This makes it a lightweight framework. I'm currently using Lumen in a project and I want to use this opportunity to share some of the things I've learnt.

Yes, PHP is Worth Learning/Using in $CURRENT_YEAR
If you're concerned about frameworks perhaps being "overkill" for what you want to do with PHP, you'll be happy to hear that Symfony is a microframework out of the box (all components outside of the core framework are 100% optional), and Laravel also has a microframework variant called Lumen.

What is the best practice for sending and receiving data between HTML and PHP?
I would let a framework handle this for you. It can render your HTML views and handle the security for you. It’s been a while since I’ve coded PHP, but I used to love https://laravel.com and https://lumen.laravel.com

Spinkube: Running WASM in Kubernetes
This reminds me of Lunatic [1], an Erlang-inspired runtime for WebAssembly. Unfortunately it seems like development stalled some months ago.
-
Spin 2.0 – open-source tool for building and running WASM apps
you can check out https://github.com/lunatic-solutions/lunatic for that
-
Flawless – Durable execution engine for Rust
Very cool, and the approach demonstrated might be of interest to a similar problem we have in Ambient (our WASM game runtime that has competing processes that may need to retry interactions.)
That being said - what’s the relation to Lunatic [0]? Are you still working on Lunatic? Is this a side project? Or is it something completely separate?

Async Rust Is A Bad Language
Curious too. I follow Lunatic [0] as a candidate for future use, and also wasmCloud [1].

- A WASI VM?
- how can I add dynamic loading to do "plugins" for my Rust app?

Elixir and Rust is a good mix
There's a couple of Rust libs and frameworks inspired on Erlang in 'best of both worlds' attempts, such as https://lunatic.solutions
I found others like Lunatic before, but cannot remember right now.

Anything close beam/otp for other languages?
There is a really good initiative called Lunatic : https://lunatic.solutions/
