sunshine VS nxbt

EDIT: Just checked again, original was released early 2020, current maintained project started 2022.

This was made with a Switch + Capture Card and a combination of my moonlight-wiiu port, sunshine and nxbt.

You can run https://github.com/loki-47-6F-64/sunshine as an alternative to GFE in February. With Moonlight as the client. It's not 100% there, but still pretty good.

Im assuming that this project is just a fork of the original sunshine project ( https://github.com/loki-47-6F-64/sunshine ) for the sake of maintaining and updating it and continued development. It looks like the docs page for this new fork is more thorough, but the Readme thats shown on Github should probably have more immediate directions for installation and the things needed for the gamepad support. The less clicks people need to go through to get things set up and running, the better the experience for everyone its gonna be.

For anyone that wants to still use/run Moonlight after this is shut off, there is an open source gamestream server called sunshine that should realistically still work. I used this previously with an AMD 5700XT, and never had any issues with it, and it performs significantly better then the Steam Link app did.

Oh wow, awesome use-case. This actually uses my Switch Bluetooth Controller emulation project [0] under the hood for automating the button presses. If you have a RPi on-hand, you can grab a decent USB capture card for around $15 on Ebay or Amazon, last I checked, for a cheap(er) entry point into automation projects like this.

Hi everyone: I have a problem, I want to install a software called nxbt (https://github.com/Brikwerk/nxbt) to simulate a switch controller but when I enter the command to install it in the linux terminal it says “command not found”

There’s a program I’m running, nxbt and there’s a pull request that would be really useful for me but I don’t know how to download it. What subreddit can help me with the syntax for terminal to implement this person’s fix?

nxbt also works without custom firmware but I think there's issues with latency and some inputs not going through.

The joycon emulation is done using NXBT which is super awesome! It already allows you to use your keyboard with your switch, though I edited it some to use the mouse as well as allow for rebinding keys in the webapp. It's a bit janky right now 'cause I didn't think other people would be using it, but my fork can be found at NXBT-MK. I know it's messy, go easy on me! You can also change the acceleration needed to activate the right joystick by changing the deadZone variable if you're interested in tweaking it a bit! If you follow the instructions in the readme you should be able to set it up on Linux relatively fast, though some of the dependencies are out of date for the original library and will have to be downgraded manually. I don't remember which ones in particular ;-; but I can go back and make a list of dependencies and versions later if people are having difficulty :)
