Looking for a few products and ideas Lighting/Plugs mostly.
Tuya devices, and the Tuya-based Monster, Greeni, etc stuff can be connected to HA using the Tuya Integration, or converted to local-only using Tuya Cloudcutter and connected to HA using Local Tuya, or even flashed with Tasmota, ESPHome/Libre Tiny, or OpenBeken.
- Are there people that are interested in reverse engineering the Tuya Smart app?

My first tuya fail. How to distinct tuya only from normal devices?
It's still on my list of things to try so I don't have personal experience, but I think https://github.com/rospogrigio/localtuya can help you. Maybe start with reading the readme to see what limitations exist for Tuya devices.

Alexa routines accessible in home assistant?
Don't the Treatlife devices just use the Tuya backend? If so, you can add them directly to HA using the cloud based official Tuya Integration, or the local-only Local Tuya via HACS.

I prefer YAML over a GUI for configuration. As HomeAssistant continues to move away from YAML, are there any HA alternatives for "power users?"
Thats something I also really dislike. Settings from the GUI based editor aren't reproducible at all and if there's only a little bug somewhere you can't just go to the file and fix it, instead there are like 3 different files which all hold some part of the configurations and art linked to each other. For example because of this movement also localtuya has completely removed support for configuring entities via yaml (https://github.com/rospogrigio/localtuya/issues/1020), which makes everything so much harder...

Load Shedding Program
If you install the HACS addon, which has its own add-on database. There is a LocalTuya addon you can install. It does require setting up a tuya account to get the keys, but once you have them you can control them entirely offline.

Thoughts, learnings and regrets after three years on Home Assistant
I have HACS[0] installed in my Docker image, I use it for exactly one integration and the initial setup seemed a little dodgy but it's been pain-free for a couple of years now.

MyQ now free? Possibly included with premium connectivity?
Yeah! So first, get HACS if you don’t already have it (https://hacs.xyz), then the custom Tesla integration (https://github.com/alandtse/tesla) - side note: you’ll need to be able to get a refresh token for your account (iOS app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/auth-app-for-tesla/id1552058613)… once you have the integration setup, create an automation. It should trigger when your vehicle tracker enters home zone and you can set device > myQ to open. Lmk if you need more help or have questions

Is there any real benefit to connecting the wall charger to wifi?
There's extra things you can tuck into it, like the Home Assistant Community Store, or HACS for short.

Seeking a flexible Smart Home tech looking for work on the side
That said, if you don't mind tinkering a bit, HASS can do quite a bit when you link it to things like the Home Assistant Community Store (HACS).
