I believe the free VLC program will allow you to open the MOV file and export it to MP4. It's available for both macOS and Windows.

I use Extreme Download Mananger to download basically any video on the Internet, it's FOSS, it's being redesigned so you can grab the Beta version if you want - i still prefer the current one.
