There was an announcement from the original creator a year or so ago that they weren't going to work on it anymore. Looking on https://invent.kde.org/plasma/latte-dock it looks like there are some contributions over the last 4 months. Does anyone know for sure if there are new contributors? I was trying to decide whether to stay with latte or abandon for vanilla KDE panels. Depends on whether it's still being worked on.

When has it been abandoned? Genuine question, I was under the impression it was still very much active at https://invent.kde.org/plasma/latte-dock

It was just a plug-in for Glava (https://github.com/jarcode-foss/glava) not really worth sharing imo.

No, but alot of the functions can be through separate applications, per-monitor wallpapers can be done through hydrapaper, visualizers for music can be done through glava, and the stats readouts can be done through conky.

You may want to use something like glava or xava.

It is perfect and glorious, but for one small problem. I'd very much like for both programs to also CLOSE at the same time, or at least sequentially. Is there a way to have one programs' termination trigger another? Specifically, if I have cmus and glava open, I'd like to be able to close cmus (say, by simply pressing 'q' and quitting cmus or by closing the terminal, or killing the program, etc.) and have glava immediately close/terminate as well. As it stands, I have a separate key binding to pkill glava after I've closed cmus, which works fine, I suppose, but is certainly a little clunkier than I'd like. Maybe there's a way for glava to only get triggered if cmus is running, a sort of whitelist maybe? A simple shell that closes both programs that I can bind? Or another thought perhaps? I'm open to any suggestions & any help is much appreciated.

For software, music visual software does exist. projectM looks promising, and GLava might be another option.
