Finding the first outside-IR35 role in IT
For many years I've been aching to be self-employed through my own LTD and grow it to the point I can re-hire people I've worked with before, without the nonsense of full time employment. Thanks to a redundancy in October, 2023 is the time to make it happen. Contracting in the UK - should I really avoid agencies?
As per my previous post - I'm seriously considering switching from FTE to contracting. I got some really helpful replies on my last post. I've also been reading lots of other resources, most notably this one. The overall impression I get is that agencies are best avoided if at all possible, partly for their duplicitous nature, commission and also because being introduced to a client via an agency affects your future relationship with them.
