Music: Music Player Daemon (The ALSA of music players!) MOC (Terminal frontend for MPD) ncmpcpp (Anyone who tells you there's a better music player for Linux than this, is a scammer!) kunst (Even blind people need Album Art to listen music ;) Spicetify (Spicey Spotify with pywal!)
How can I set a keybind to show album art?

It looks amazing I will definitely give it a try. I've already installed kunst, but I've found it crashes a lot.

https://ardour.org/ - this a professional digital audio workstation. the learning curve is steep, however you can do a lot with it. check for guides on youtube for additional inspiration
Is there something inherently wrong with observers, the dependency injection pattern, and holding onto "non-owning references" (i.e. pointers)?
reddit.com/r/cpp | 2021-10-01
It's significantly more complex to redesign it to be RT-safe and multithreaded. We've done that in Ardour (https://ardour.org/) but would not dream of suggesting anyone uses our code :)

Ardour is a much better audio editor than Audacity in every possible way. Also, versions > 6 are super usable and easy to set up.
Can I undo all effects
reddit.com/r/audacity | 2021-09-24
However for a real non-destructive editing i recommend Ardour, it's a free(as in freedom not as in price) and open source program like Audacity, you can pay $1 or more to get pre compiled packages, or compile it yourself to get it free(as in price), i recommend paying it since it will also support developers.
Are there free alternatives to audacity that are easier/simpler to use?

Not sure what you really need, but try https://ardour.org/

Ardour, Reaper (60 days of trial and really cheap license for an amazing software), LMMS and Cakewalk are all free if you don't own an Apple device or don't like GarageBand. But for real, GarageBand is incredibly awesome, I remember first trying out on one of the first ipod touch models and this year testing the newest version on ipad, it's insane what the developers kept adding, I still can't believe it's completely free.

Try install ardour form ardour.org. Any other releases are not officially from the devs and are not supported.
How to create a podcast? Newbie questions.
reddit.com/r/podcast | 2021-09-17
Certainly. You can invest as much or as little into your podcast as you desire. At the upper extreme, for example, you can buy studio-quality recording hardware and digital audio workstation software ("DAW"), pay for customized hosting, hire a professional editor/producer, and so on. But on the free side, you can simply use whatever decent microphone you have available (even if on your phone, for instance), and use free software such as Discord (for VoIP) and Ardour (for recording/editing) and similar, and then host via something like Anchor. Then, submitting your podcast to indices like Apple and Google Podcasts is entirely free -- though you'd need to sign up with an account at each, if you don't already have one; but the only cost to those is a bit of time, not money.
