Any way to stop screen rotation on Kiwix JS PWA on Android?
I've opened an issue here: https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-js-windows/issues/375. I'll track progress there, but will update this post with any significant development.
u/verrucagnome This fix is now released in v2.4.0: https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-js-windows/releases/tag/v2.4.0 and the PWA https://pwa.kiwix.org (let it update to v2.4.0).

New useability update for Kiwix JS for Linux and Windows v2.3.0
u/Nibb31 There's no need to run it in Docker, as you can compile the Electron versions on either Linux or Windows simply by cloning the Repo and running npm install --save-dev, then npm start to test, or npm run dist-linux (or dist-win), to make packages. See scripts in package.json. It uses electron-builder to build the apps, in case you're familiar with its CLI.
Version 2.3.0 of Kiwix JS has an extensive changelog, focusing on useability, versatility and some niggly bug fixes. Enjoy!

Desktop WikiMed app now with Full-Text search (experimental - works only with the Electron app for modern Linux and Windows)
The packages contain the December 2022 WikiMed English ZIM (mdwiki_en_all_maxi_2022-12), together with the changes in the CHANGELOG. The Electron app uses Electron v18.3.15.

Kiwix JS for Windows and Linux v2.2.0 (with support for Zimit archives)
For what's new, see the CHANGELOG. The headline feature is that Service Worker mode is now the default if your platform/browser supports it.

Monday feature wishlist: what would you want to see on Kiwix as a priority?
Are you referring to the Kiwix JS browser extension version? And are you referring to custom URLs for ZIM content as mentioned here: https://web.dev/url-protocol-handler/? Please note that the browser extension version requires you to pick the archive on each startup, so linking from custom URLs would not be a very satisfactory process. This might be possible in the PWA. See this issue.

Can I pull the power on a headless Zero 2 W running Kiwix Hotspot?
But since you've found the repo and are not the first one to ask, feel free to open a feature request at https://github.com/offspot/kiwix-hotspot/issues
Github says it has limited writes on the root partition. Does that mean it's okay or do I need to wire up a switch? I'm having a hard time finding info on this. It would be neat if there was a raspberry pi shutdown link embedded on the hotspot's home page. https://github.com/offspot/base-image https://github.com/offspot/kiwix-hotspot

Kiwix pi hotspot not working.
The FAQ indicates that RPi 4 manufactured from late 2020 on are not supported, but I also see that this ticket has been closed last week, so the upcoming 2.4 release should fix that.
