Why isn't the play store up to date?
I downloaded 3.6.0 from the github page and search is fast and smooth.
Looking further it looks like 3.6.0 used to be on f-droid https://www.reddit.com/r/Kiwix/comments/wxaf88/kiwixandroid_360_available_on_fdroid_major_fix/ but was pulled all the way back to 2.4 due to containing non FOSS. https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-android/issues/30910 which looks like isn't slated to be fixed until 3.7.0

What is your Kotlin project?
https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-android haven’t been there for a few years now but happy with what I did and taught. Introduced kotlin to a pure java environment and it was so much better every time

What's your favorite/best written of kotlin code?
https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-android/blob/develop/core/src/main/java/org/kiwix/kiwixmobile/core/extensions/CursorExtensions.kt ah good it is still there, haven’t been on the project in years

Please, how do I make hardlinks like on Windows tablet? My company requires a legacy app -- Kiwix -- but it doesn't support external storage on my tablet, even though the OTG drive shows up fdine in everything else, so I am trying to hardlink like in Windows or Linux. Android uses Linux kernel&FS?
A good place to ask would probably be r/kiwix or, better, https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-android/issues (or https://github.com/kiwix/kiwix-desktop/issues)

[DEV] Pocket Casts Tasker Plugin Update - 6 New Actions Allow For Almost Any Kind of Queue/Playback Manipulation
Eeeh, was worth a try. As I said, I do miss being able to play music with Tasker, without having to open the App to the foreground, I asked the Dev about it , but it isn't exactly high priority.
Not really sure how to word this, but could you take a look and see if you can try to do the same with Auxio? Really miss having Tasker auto shuffle music when a headset is connected....
