Will definitely compare it to Joplin (which isn't exactly apples to apples).

"I could use this..." - Anyone else think this?

I wish I could sit here and tell you that I write everything in a journal because pen and paper feel old-school dungeon master cool. But I can't say that. I keep everything on a computer program. There are a million computer programs for doing this job, but I find simple works best for this. I use a free program called Joplin. I have it on my computer and my phone and they sync up very well together.
Moved from Windows 10. What do you guys use for journal? Daily Diary?

How to build a second brain as a software developer
I didn't see it so I'm recommending it.
Use this with the encryption, sync to local filesystem, and with syncthing or similar and you can have an entire "second brain" tree of knowledge written in markdown. On your phone, on your laptop, pc at work, etc.... all for free because devs
I'm also a heavy Joplin user! It has amazing features like being able to sync with common file backup services (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc) and also has a decent Android app.
It is also opensource. https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/
Amazed it wasn't mentioned in this article.
I was disappointed that Joplin (https://joplinapp.org/) wasn't included in the app list.
Having used both Evernote and OneNote, I've found Joplin to be a better choice, especially when I'm bouncing between platforms. It doesn't lock you to a particular ecosystem or cloud service, and the open source app is free for use.
For what it's worth, I'm not affiliated with Joplin, I'm just a user.

Checkbox "jump to top" issue returns?
1 project | reddit.com/r/Boostnote | 27 May 2021
I've been off Boostnote for a while and after updating to 0.16.1 I discovered a return of the behavior where checking a checkbox scrolls the page to the top. It's basically this same behavior reported under issue #3077 two years ago and confirmed that it affects Boostnote on both Catalina and Big Sur. Since I don't see a new ticket on it and this update has been out for 9 months I figured it must be "pilot error" or an issue porting a document authored using a previous version.
New using Boostnote and I'm really confused
