Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Some cool features you may don’t know about Apache Kafka
This is particularly useful if you use Apache Kafka in a microservices architecture and you want to add tracing supervision. For example, using OpenTracing you can take a look at opentracing-contrib/java-kafka-client that provides TracingProducerInterceptor and TracingConsumerInterceptor. Those interceptors inject and retrieve span context from record headers.

Stream processing with sql and a nice gui? Alternatives to lenses.io?
Kpow doesn't have a custom stream processing / sql dialect, but we do have a live Kafka Streams topology viewer (see: https://github.com/operatr-io/kpow-streams-agent) that will show you information all the way down to RocksDB level and we also compute/show metrics on data flow for topics, consumers, connect, etc.
- Don't need another management tool. Is there any tool for software developers and testers, not for Kafka administrators?
