Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.
asp.net .net 6 just a view so far
1 project | dev.to | 23 Apr 2022
It's been a tough couple of weeks recently, I've been reflecting and reading a lot about asp.net. Using some of online guides, video tutorial I've finally got my head around it...somewhat. It is more difficult than laravel for sure... but looking at how much this clean architecture template has helped a lot at finding some cool stuff. Before I got to this I've had to dig myself into books to cover the following:
Angular, ASP.NET core web api, and DTOs

I've been using Jason Taylor's Clean Architecture layout for the last couple services I've spun up and I've had pretty good results in terms of how it went.

💡 Resiliency patterns - retry, cache, fallback, etc.: Very often, in distrusted systems world you need to ensure high availability by incorporating some resilience policies. Luckily, we have a built-in solution to build and define policies in .NET - Polly. There is out-of-the-box integration with IHttpClientFactory provided by Polly. This uses a convenience method, IHttpClientBuilder.AddTransientHttpErrorPolicy. It configures a policy to handle errors typical of HTTP calls: HttpRequestException, HTTP 5XX status codes (server errors), HTTP 408 status code (request timeout).

How to use Circuit Breaker to manage third party apis ?
1 project | reddit.com/r/microservices | 27 Nov 2021
In C# there's a very good library called Polly (https://github.com/App-vNext/Polly). It's highly customizable and allows you to do a lot more than just circuit breaking (e.g. Retry policies). There's most likely a similar type of library for what language you use

This exact logic is implemented in amazing Polly library, specifically it's Retry policy.

An Introduction to Microservices pt. 6

Just for the sake of simplicity, I'll show you how to implement the Circuit Breaker pattern only on our API Gateway. If you want to dive deeper on the pattern and implement it between two services, you can head over to the Polly project on Github. Polly is the same library Ocelot uses to implement their Circuit Breaker. Now, let's get to the code!
