I don't recall offhand what features it does or doesn't support, and certainly not GOMODULES et al but just FYI

They did a similar "fuck you" to the Terraform plugin <https://github.com/VladRassokhin/intellij-hcl/blob/v0.6.14/L...> when they hired the developer and then made the built-in Terraform functionality basically abandonware :fu:

And then, in some extra weird behavior, they have CloudFormation still in the open <https://github.com/JetBrains/intellij-plugins/tree/idea/251....> but mysteriously it, too, is basically abandonware. Or maybe they're expecting the community to chip in and fix the bugs <https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues?q=subsystem:%20%7BLang...>. I dunno.

We can then open it using IntelliJ IDEA or the IDE of your choice.

I have to confess I am guilty of this — I used to just draw some unstructured circles and arrows on a whiteboard and call it enough.

Lately I've been trying to work my way through lots of different diagram types from https://plantuml.com/, and it does help to wrap my mind around the existing options.

Today, tools like Mermaid and PlantUML have taken center stage, thanks to their ability to generate diagrams with text-based commands. While inactive blockdiag was small and nice for automatically annotating documentation.

As you can see it hasn't been maintained for a few years.

Graphviz is great because dot file are simple and easy to read and trivial to add to a build chain.

With complex diagrams, I find good old PlantUML diagrams more useful if not as initially pretty as mermaid. Plus it will output archimate without having to touch that UI

But really it is horses for courses.

Looking at the mermaid on mobile with a dark theme is pretty painful at least right now as an example of why it is not my preference.

But I am typically not targeting web display.
