ib_api VS ghostfolio

I don't mind publishing it and already published 2 parts of this tool [IB API connector](https://github.com/al6x/ib_api) and [the visual part](http://pl0t.com). I'm going to publish the last part - the calculations itself too in the next couple of weeks/months if have time.

Tried Crystal to write Crystal API for Interactive Brokers.

For the concrete code, I use my own TWS API wrapper, the code is public. The bug could be replicated by starting that driver and calling the url specified below for each stock in the list. It's doing basically the same things I described before, gets list of option contracts, and then gets price for each.

A manual action where I multiply and divide all actions. It works, bit hardly. Won't do it again. A next time, I'll probably try to do a sell all old stocks for X/stock, and then buy all for X/splitamt/stock to handle this.

100 requests a minute for a free API isn't gonna cut it for automated trading, and extreme pedantic preferences aren't very conducive for a "community project" type thing. You can track specific stocks using something https://github.com/ghostfolio/ghostfolio but I don't about a generic Stock Ticker type thing either.

Don't know CoinMarketCap well and what you use it for, but maybe ghostfol.io is interesting for you?

Does Ghostfolio cover your needs? I know there has been a lack of selfhosted portfolio trackers up until its recent release.

When I decided to publish the project as open source software (OSS), I did not know what exactly to expect. In the worst case, nobody would care. And in the best case, the repository would be overrun with contributions. The truth is probably somewhere in between.
