kDFUApp from http://repo.tihmstar.net to use with iOS-OTA-Downgrader on a Mac or Linux PC to downgrade to 8.4.1. Your iPad will perform significantly better.

[question] How to downgrade iPad 4 to iOS 6 from iOS 10
1 project | reddit.com/r/LegacyJailbreak | 14 Nov 2021
I would suggest downgrading to iOS 8 first using https://github.com/LukeZGD/iOS-OTA-Downgrader and then using coolbooter to dualboot iOS 6 and then installing coolbooter untethered so it would act like an untether.

[question] how can I activate this phone I don’t want to reset it because then it would have to update. Does anyone have an idea what iOS it is running.

Then, you may use iOS-OTA-Downgrader to downgrade back to 8.4.1 or using your blobs and flash the latest baseband

14.8.1 is out. It may be possible to downgrade à la iOS-OTA-Downgrader
[Question] iOS 14.8.1 is out and signed, can we futurestore to upgrade from 14.3 to 14.5.1 using the SEP/BB of 14.8.1?

[Help] downgrade iPad 3,1

There's probably some YouTube tutorials for this. You can use either n1ghtshade or Deca5 I thinl they both do the same thing, and they're both mac only.

I'm 99% sure it's Mac and Linux only, like many checkm8 based tools. Here's the github. Possible A5 support soon, but that's just what I hear on the civilized streets.

[Question] iPad 4 - 10.3.3. Possible to downgrade to 7.1.2 without SHSH?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/LegacyJailbreak | 31 May 2021
If you have a mac, you can use this tool n1ghtshade. It offers tethered downgrade to any iOS version supported by your device, in your case from 6.0 to 9.3.5 (10.3.3 is being signed, so you can restore to it anytime). If you don’t have mac, you can still use OTA downgrader . It can run on Linux and you can downgrade to iOS 8.4.1. Then you can jailbreak with etasonJB, which is untethered jailbreak and then use coolbooter to dualboot with iOS 7.1.2.

[help] im trying to install linux on an iphone 5, where do i start

Yes, I believe so. It looks like you can untethered downgrade to iOS 8.4.1 using iOS-OTA-Downgrader or a similar tool. If you want to go to other iOS versions, I found a tool called n1ghtshade that can downgrade to lower firmwares, but this will be tethered if you don't have blobs (not sure if it can be untethered if you do have blobs). I only found about n1ghtshade today, and the issues tab has a few people saying they couldn't get iPhone 5 downgrades working, though some people have been successful, YMMV.
A6 users: STAY ON iOS 8.4.1
1 project | reddit.com/r/setupapp | 12 Apr 2021
Sadly, iTunes still doesn't work (asks for previous AppleID) but other than that, iOS 8 is probably the best version for bypassed A6 devices. There are two ways to downgrade to 8.4.1: using n1ghtshade to tether downgrade to 6.1.3, bypass again using Sliver, tether boot, and then upgrade in the Settings to 8.4.1, then bypass again, and then reset the device to factory in the Settings app. The other way is using ipwndfu to pwn the device, load the 8.4.1 iBSS and downgrade. This method is used in this video by AppleTech752.
