Is linux-surface kernel necessary when installing fedora 37 on WSLG2?
I just bought a go 2 (not laptop go) this weekend and installed fedora 37 on it. Almost everything worked without the surface kernel except the camera requires v4l2loopback kernel drivers to create a gstreamer device for apps that donāt support libcamera. There were only old versions available in copr but no surface kernel headers available so I couldnāt build the kernel modules. I switched to ubuntu 22.10 and got similar hardware support but more available packages. Iām still trying to figure out how to get the IR sensors to work so I can use howdy for login/sudo. https://github.com/boltgolt/howdy

Facial Recognition
First, you'll need to install Howdy.

when will PopOS support face id logins?
I've tried using Howdy, but that doesn't seem to work. It's probably because of this issue
-
Webcam very poor quality
Just like with digicams, it is not just about the sensor, but also the image processing itself. Should we omit the IR sensor to replace it with a better firmware-based noise-reduction system? But what about "Howdy" / "Hello" users, if we go this route?

What program(s) do you use to remember passwords, including crypto?
For passwords and 2FA I use Bitwarden in combination with a self-hosted Vaultwarden service (for imcreased security and use of pro features for free).

Amazon Account with unauthorised purchases, did my google passwords get leaked
First it's good to use a password manager, however it's not a good idea to use the one built into your browser. I would suggest switching to BitWarden or similar (not LastPass).

Did I mess up?
I just noticed today when relogging in on Bitwarden (I couldn't sync my vault) that it said "Logged in as [email] on __$2__" instead of "Logged in as [email] on bitwarden.com". I don't know why or how that happened, and I have no idea what it means. Did I screw up somehow? Just to be clear, I did login and just after I logged in my brain realized that it said "__$2__" instead of what it should say.

What are some dangers that can happen if Iāve chosen not to enable 2fa on certain accounts
I would also recommend the use of a password manager such as Proton Pass, BitWarden or 1Password if your looking for a more premium solution.

Please help! Why are all my accounts getting logged in or being attempted login
Use a password manager if you do not already and have it generate unique passwords for every website. Bitwarden is one of the best. You should NEVER reuse passwords and should always use unique passwords. It may be inconvenient at first but a password manager like Bitwarden really does make it a whole lot more convenient. Your e-mail especially should have its own unique password. You should also use two-factor authentication on any website that offers it. If you do not have a good AV on your computers, Bitdefender and Kaspersky both offer free options. The website https://haveibeenpwned.com/ is a good place to check if your credentials have been in a data breach.
