  • New to Hololive, where should I start?

Doesn't really answer your question, but I recommend you use https://holodex.net/ to view the talents. It provides a lot of tools. You can use the musicdex to see just the recent music. The archive tab indicates if a stream has clips. If a translator happens to be in a stream, you can also open a section that will capture their translations.

First i recommend using the Holodex website, it can show currently live streams and upcoming streams, as well as allowing to multiview which is especially helpful for collabs. It also has a built-in LiveTL which is a feature where an available fantranslator can real time translate and even archive fansubs.

There are Translation Channels galore out there. I just go to the HoloDex for everything Hololive/Vtuber related. All the upcoming, live, and past shows are archived there. Along with all the translated clips. It's quite a convenient little set-up they've got there.

It uses Holodex to get the channel's status, so it won't work with non-vtubers.

For getting into Hololive, Holodex is a pretty great site. It shows currently ongoing streams, upcoming ones, and has a section dedicated to clips. It also allows you to watch multiple streams in the same tab.

If you need an easier way to get introduced to Hololive Vtubers, I suggest using Holodex. It's a community-driven website that shows upcoming or live streams, as well as VODs and clips.

If you want to search for Hololive/Holostars clips you can use Holodex without encountering such "real face" clips. They wont have all clips because subbers have to be added manually, but this also means channels with such intent won't be added in.

Holodex is a website that compiles all the streams so you can multiview and see who is live in one spot - It's also not exclusive to Hololive and lets you add stuff to a playlist (not sure if it's a holodex playlist or if it also makes a Youtube one for you, I don't use it). As for notifications, I know the Luna Translation bot has a feature automatically sending a message when a Hololive member goes live. You can try adding that to a personal Discord server if you use Discord a lot.
