Automating a thermostat without sensors using OpenWeather
So, i personally have a bridged thermostat. It’s kind of a junky “comfortsync” thermostat that i dislike. One of my biggest gripes outside of that would be that it doesnt have any sensors or multiple zones set up. So i came up with a solution to automating the heating and cooling of my house using the Homebridge-weather-Plus plugin.

homebridge-weather-plus seems the most comprehensive. Their recommended path pulls from OpenWeatherMap, which has the most observation + forecast values.

First verified Homebridge Tempest plugin
I currently use mine via Weather Underground via homebridge-weather-plus. I find the “fakegato-history” charts available in the Eve app even easier to use than Tempest’s own app.

I have a weather monitoring station from my local hardware store… uses weather underground so you can get the api key and use this plugin…

How can I get rid of the Leak sensor? It’s included in the Homebridge WS (weather station) plug-in that I only want to use for the temperature sensor. The leak sensor is telling me when it rains.
I also couldn’t find it. I’m using this plugin, it’s more flexible with setup. https://github.com/naofireblade/homebridge-weather-plus#readme

homebridge-harmony plugin - Unable to Add Accessory
I installed the homebridge-harmony plugin from https://github.com/nicoduj/homebridge-harmony today and followed the setup instructions. HOOBS shows that it connects to my Harmony hub and sees the activities, but when I try to add the accessory in the Home app, it sees the hub and asks for a homekit code, but then it sits for a while and then says Unable to Add Accessory. I've re-added the plugin, reset my router, no change though.
What are some alternatives?
