Any advice on figuring out which sensor tripped the alarm (or a way to view logs)?
So, I have a security system setup through homebridge. Every night, when the system is armed, there are a number of sensors that could trigger this (all natively setup through HomeKit):
- Dummy alarm system
-
2Gig Security Panels
Here is the Security System - https://github.com/MiguelRipoll23/homebridge-securitysystem
-
HomeKit Alarm (UK)
I use https://github.com/MiguelRipoll23/homebridge-securitysystem with bell unit connected with a HUE plug. Simple but works.

HomeKit security
And then if you can't find a HomeKit compatible security system that you like, mash them all together into one using the Homebridge Security System plugin - https://github.com/MiguelRipoll23/homebridge-securitysystem

Creating a plugin for Egardia security system - where to start
The plugin documentation from Homebridge looks not very extensive. I understand it should be an Accessory plugin. However, looking at similar plugins, in the end the code looks quite extensive https://github.com/MiguelRipoll23/homebridge-securitysystem. I am quite familiar with javascript code, though mostly from web development.

Vivint Doorbell Camera two way talk?
But it does look like someone just posted a feature request for this on the homebridge-vivint plug-in GitHub just two days ago, so maybe the plug-in author is on it!

Think-out-of-the-box chime extender
Although a little bit sloppy, there is a way to do it using Homebridge and Vivint plugin. They will integrate Vivint devices including the doorbell into Apple HomeKit which results in all HomePods chiming when the doorbell button is pressed. However, this might not work for you if you are not dealing with Apple products at all.
