I have no idea about the Google Home Mini, but I managed to add my Nest Mini to HomeKit using the Enomek. You can try it as it simplifies the whole homebridge process. Also, Look for the homebridge-gsh plugin on github.

Is it possible to integrate homebridge devices directly to HA?
I currently use homebridge-gsh as a way to have my Google Home speakers control my devices strictly through Homebridge. Is there a similar plugin that I could use the same way with HA where commands from Google Home interact with HA vs with each device's own cloud provider?

Sorry I thought I answered you, but I guess it never went through... but instead of the Alexa plugin, for Google Home you can use this plugin that does the same thing. I have tested this as well.

Are you using homebridge-config-ui-x? If so you can just authenticate via the ui. If not, following the steps on the plugins GitHub page for manual steps. https://github.com/Brandawg93/homebridge-nest-cam

Hardware accelerated ffmpeg/camera encoding on Raspberry Pi 4 (homebridge-nest-cam)
It looks like they removed h264_omx support from recent Rasbian builds. I tried using h264_v4l2m2m which is supposed to be the replacement with ffmpeg-for-homebridge through https://github.com/Brandawg93/homebridge-nest-cam but I get no video. Anyone have this working?

Here’s the instructions for generating your authentication codes for HOOBs. It can be tricky to understand the first time you do it. I recommend watching this YouTube video (4:20 mark) to see how to do it.

Open range of ports for Homebridge plugins
One plugin in particular (Nest-Cam https://www.npmjs.com/package/homebridge-nest-cam), seems to be trying to open different ports every time you click on the camera preview to start the live stream (the plugin uses this system https://www.npmjs.com/package/get-port)
