Disnake or Pycord
I recommend try out Hikari (The Library) + Lightbulb (Command Handler Extension)

For discord.py users, what library are you going switch?
I have switched to Hikari + Lightbulb and I'm not looking back.

discord.py bots
Pycord is a bad fork in my opinion. I recommend using discord.py until it's entirely dead and then switching to enhanced-discord.py (Or switching to it right now). You can get slash commands with discord.py using slash_util. You can also switch to a completely different Python Discord API wrapper, like hikari.

I want to learn how to make bots.
enhanced-discord.py is a neat alternative to discord.py. And is what I use for python development. But yes, discord.js is a great place to start!

So Discord.py is dead
I am currently gonna use discord.py unless there is a breaking change, if there is I'd switch to enhanced-dpy since that is the only one that wasn't created just after the discontinuation and I've been seeing that fork for a long time now and it has some good features already
What are some alternatives?
discord-ui - A discord.py extension for sending, receiving and handling ui interactions in discord
pycord - Pycord, a maintained fork of discord.py, is a python wrapper for the Discord API
Raid-Protect-Discord-Bot - A Discord Bot that allows you to protect your Discord server with captcha, anti profanity, anti nudity image, anti spam, account age required, logs...
Tanjun - A flexible command framework designed to extend the Hikari experience
nextcord - A Python wrapper for the Discord API forked from discord.py
hikari-miru - A component handler for hikari, inspired by discord.py's views.
disnake-pr - An API wrapper for Discord written in Python.
hikari - A Discord API wrapper for Python and asyncio built on good intentions.
discord.py-message-components - A "fork" of discord.py library made by Rapptz with implementation of the Discord Message-Components & many other features by mccoderpy
VALORANT-rank-yoinker - A Python app which retrieves the VALORANT rank and players' equipped skins during a match
