[Yes/No] Will scripting in Lua/ Bash going to be noticeably faster/ efficient than scripting in programming languages like Python/ JS? How do they compare for a script which I want to keep on running in background all the time?
It's this script that I was thinking of re-writing but I wanted to be sure it's actually going to be worth the effort.

Show/hide DWM bar by hovering your cursor over the bar area
So, I have stumbled upon to this github repo few days ago hideit.sh and this YouTube video BSPWMGlass-Green which showcasing how you can move your mouse to where the bar is and that bar will appear and will disappear once you left that bar area and i think to myself "Hey, this is damn cool and will save me more screen space". I look around on google to see if there's a patch for something like it. All i found is hideit.sh script which is compatible for polybar only. I wish there's DWM patch out there that implements this feature and add compatibility for barmodules and extrabar patch. Edit: It would be better if there's a toggle for it in the config file where you can enable either only topbar who take the effect or the bottombar if you already have merged the barmodules/extrabar patch to DWM.

Auto-hiding polybar for more screen space
The automatic hiding/showing of the bar is handled by a script called hideIt.sh. This script is a very fancy and highly configurable solution for hiding / showing any system window by only knowing their name. I have modified this script quite a bit to be able to move my main polybar together with the system tray and to support my popup bar in terms of hiding it at the right moment as well as to support pinning.

bsptab-rs: another (hopefully useful) utility for tabs in bspwm
I replicated more of the behavior of the first https://github.com/albertored11/bsptab implementation in a `bsptab-rs transfer` command. If you're used to i3 tabs, that'll probably be relatively similar to what you might want

Future of Bspwm
Just in case anyone is interested in an integration of tabs in bspwm, check out this script I wrote a couple of months ago.

Killer feature would be using title bars as tabs for "max" frame layout!
here is an example of someone doing this with bspwm. You can take a look and see if it matches your dreams.
