I haven't used Radix before, but I've used headlessui. When I'm not using MUI, I definitely use a headless ui lib + tailwindcss. 🙌

The concept is not new, it's been discussed and implemented for a couple of years, I first heard of it when Adam Watham, creator of Tailwind CSS, and its team launched Headless UI libraries like downshift by Kent Dodds also used this pattern, just to mention a couple of cases.

"Unopiniated" is right, it means "this library doesn't force you to use it in a particular way", while headless is more specific to UI. I've actually seen it being used by some of the more popular libraries like react-table, react-virtual, and headlessui.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not using a CSS framework, but rather a component library called ChakraUI. It has some very useful components and makes it extremely simple to customize/style your own components by utilizing its base components. Definitely recommended.
