How do I backup to google drive without including media dataset?
I'm trying to achieve something simillar to how Home Assistant's Google Drive Backup works, but for my TrueNAS Scale, I currently have the following datasets under my dataset:

SD versus USB flash drive versus SSD for Home Assistant on Raspberry Pi
Not sure what kind of backup you use, but I'd recommend https://github.com/sabeechen/hassio-google-drive-backup as it can also schedule backups as well as delete/prune old ones. Nice to have an external backup if your SD card with the latest snapshots you forgot to copy somewhere else accidentaly dies... :-)

4th Generation Echo Smart Home Hub Backup
You could move everything over to Home Assistant, and add the Google Drive backup add-on for foolproof backups that takes like 2 minutes to set up. It'll backup everything by default, including your zigbee stuff.
-
What are some lesser known add-ons that you consider to be "must-have"?
Actually the add-on author did state that he probably wonโt add additional storage providers like Ms One drive, Dropbox, iCloud, AWS etc.

Observations as a former SmartThings user
Did you make a snapshots already. That's pretty important. Sd cards are more likely to fail. It would be a pain to set everything up from scratch again. You can also use the Google drive backup add-on for automatic external backups https://github.com/sabeechen/hassio-google-drive-backup
