Where can I look for help?
1 project | reddit.com/r/agda | 2 Jan 2022
Agda is written in Haskell, and the quoted error message is a common problem with applications written in Haskell. You probably have an environment variable like LC_CTYPE or LC_ALL which is set to an unusual value. I'd try setting LANG, LC_CTYPE and LC_ALL to en_US.utf8.

Here is a representative patch for text: https://github.com/haskell/text/pull/365/commits/37a2157245457a287d638bbceb472fe93b71f224 Hopefully it clarifies why achieving C performance is problematic even if you have enough primitive operations.2 projects | reddit.com/r/haskell | 22 Aug 2021

Can I wait forever without getLine?
1 project | reddit.com/r/haskell | 12 Jul 2021
I want to run an app in a Docker container, but detached. This causes getLine to throw an EOF exception, since the terminal detaches. That is, if I understand this thread correctly https://github.com/haskell/text/issues/258.

u/snoyberg laments here that a consequence of Text using unpinned memory is that the FFI can't operate directly on it. However, there do appear to be some places where foreign imported functions are called on the underlying unpinned ByteArray# (see how Text.copy calls this).
