OS Reccomendations For Self Hosting Bots
Personally I've used both Ubuntu and raspberry pis to host my bots, using docker-compose. You can run just a couple of commands to get it going. I've got example code on github if you want to steal the docker files and modify them for your own use. https://github.com/jcreek/MupBot for example
