How often is Windows 10 checking the internet when I don't need it to, slowing processes down? And how do I stop it completely from doing this?
Checking the internet? Just download ImageGlass and make that one your default image viewer. The same for videos, just grab VLC.

Some tools I use to improve my windows and gaming experience. Hope this doesn't break the rules and someone may find one of these useful!
I would recommend ImageGlass for a good image viewer. It has a nice modern interface and it's open source.
- Looking for a lightweight Image Gallery for Windows, I don't like the Microsoft Photo Viewer, its so slow and always freezing. Maybe my 4gb Ram laptop can't handle it when its too much pictures so the Photo viewer freezes on startup always
