Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Looking for library recommendations: Django -> Golang port
You're right. Django made a ton of tables, and it's pretty insightful to think about all the stuff it's trying to consider and a nightmare to migrate that framework. Django might have simplified some stuff, but it's still too opaque for my taste and the overall end goals of the project. Currently, I'm testing using graphjin (it doesn't have the best documentation, but it does boast an SQL generation capability that I philosophically think is the best way to do things).

Advice on ORMs with REST/GraphQL & Hasura/PostGraphile implementation
Checkout GraphJin it's an automatic GraphQL to SQL compiler, you write your database queries in GraphQL instead of SQL and it compiles them into efficient SQL on the fly. Works as a library in GO and NodeJS. https://github.com/dosco/graphjin

Ask HN: How do you test SQL?
In GraphJin an automatic GraphQL to SQL compiler we use the gnomock library it startups a database instance (docker) then create the schema and tests data and finally our code connects to it and runs a series of tests. We run these across Mysql, Postgres and a few other DB's. Gnomock supports a wide range of them. Right now we don't take down the db for every test only between test runs but its fast enough that we could. This whole thing runs of a simple `go test -v .` command and we run it on every commit using a githook. https://github.com/dosco/graphjin/blob/master/tests/dbint_te...

Is graphql-request a good tool for only client side api? Share your feedbacks. Thanks 🙏
Not exactly GraphQL is just a format to define what data you want back from someplace. You can use it in a browser app to request data from a backend GraphQL server or you can use it as an ORM within your backend app to fetch data from a database using a library like GraphJin. https://github.com/dosco/graphjin

For Want of a Join
This is more common that you would believe other issues i've seen are no `limit` on the query, fetching all the results and then sorting in your own app code, using wrong joins. Many of these happen while using ORMs as well. SQL is a context switch for more devs and very few understand it and even those that do might not be familiar with the capabilites of your startups db choice.
Shameless plug but this was my motivation behind building GraphJin a GraphQL to SQL compiler and it's my single goto force multipler for most projects. https://github.com/dosco/graphjin

[Question] What will it take to create an automated graphQL API with Elixir?
There are tools like Hasura/Haskell, Postgraphile/Node.js or Graphjin/Golang that could generate an automatic graphQL API from a Postgres database. Im new to Elixir and really love it. I wonder if there is anything similar these. I heard about Absinthe for graphQL, however as far as I understand it requires to write your own resolvers. What will it take to create a similar tool in Elixir like the one stated above? How would one go about it?

Deploy without interrupting clients is hard.
Its a new thing to me. Will definitely try that out with https://github.com/dosco/graphjin and https://github.com/nautilus/gateway which are golang graphql servers.

Who moved my error codes? Adding error types to your GoLang GraphQL Server
GraphQL’s spec, as it turns out, does not specify how servers should handle internal errors at all, leaving it entirely to the choice of the frameworks’ creators. Take for example our GoLang GraphQL framework of choice - gqlgen. It makes no distinction between intentional and unexpected errors: all errors are returned as-is to the client within the error message. Internal errors, which often contain sensitive information like network details and internal URIs, would leak to clients easily if not caught manually by the programmer.

“Go is hard to justify unless at massive scale”
Better look into this one: https://github.com/99designs/gqlgen for GraphQL powered by Go. It's spec first approach and requires the least boilerplate code to write. It also incorporates seamlessly with Apollo Federation.

Go with PHP
I left PHP for Go.
- with http://sqlc.dev I don't have to write ORM or model code anymore.
- with http://goa.design I can have well-documented API's that any team can generate a client for in any language. It also generates the HTTP JSON and gRPC servers for me so I can focus on my logic.
- with https://github.com/99designs/gqlgen I can define GraphQL revolvers that play well with sqlc (any RDBMS) or I can use a key-value store.
- speaking of key-value stores, Go allows them to be embedded! Even SQLite now has the https://litestream.io/ project to make it super simple to use a durable, always backed-up SQLite database even in a serverless context.
Go is faster, uses less memory, and has really-well designed stdlib without all the bugs I used to face trying to use the PHP stdlib.

Libraries you use most of your projects?
In addition to the ones you mentioned, I also always use: + sqlc - Compile SQL to type-safe code + gqlgen - generate GraphQL server from schema + oapi-codegen - Go client and server boilerplate from OpenAPI 3 specifications + pester - Go http calls with retries and backoff + backoff - exponential backoff algorithm in Go

Ent: An Entity Framework for Go
I have no experience in Django but in Ent with GraphQL.
Ent is not a full-featured web framework so you need to implement many of features by your own or use other libraries (e.g. http server and session management).
If you are only looking for ORM + GraphQL then I highly recommend trying Entgql, an Ent extension for GraphQL with Gqlgen library [1]. Once you define an ORM schema, it will generate GraphQL Query for Relay server. Still you need to implement GraphQL Mutations by your own but at least it will create Input types for you (both for Create/Update).

Best packages?

Decent examples querying models from Postgres
For me sqlc work wonders. If you are developing a user facing api and are fine to go with graphql, with gqlgen you can even autobind (search the page for @goModel) the models that sqlc generates from your queries. A glorious match
