If the car is not MOTd or insured then it probably suggests that they're up to no good and as a good citizen, it is your duty to dig further. Maybe try walking past the car and see if you can see what they're doing in the boot and maybe just start up a general conversation with them by asking if they have a light or if there is a shop nearby??

The interesting aspect of this is that it can be studied to write clients for platforms that are not officially supported -- currently, only Android and iOS are supported, but it'd be great to see a Linux client too.
