My thought on different engines
Godot Engine is a free and open-source game engine. The story started as an in-house engine of an Argentinian studio in 2007, and since 2014, it's been a community-driven project with a lot of contributors.

New World Update 1.0.3: Server Transfer Details
I'm also in with this, my assumption is that the server was waiting for a specific response, while that response wasn't being received the server got stuck in a loop. To confirm this or any other theory someone has to look into the engine which is open source (https://github.com/aws/lumberyard/)

Work in progress - New World model explorer
I think the animation data is accessible. Especially since New World is built using Amazon's Lumberyard game engine, which is open source. Looking through the source of Cryengine-Converter (tool to convert Lumberyard/Cryengine proprietary data formats to open formats), it seems to me that it also supports converting .cga (Crytek Geometry Animation) files!
