go.nvim VS packer.nvim

Also, I recently started using the nightly version of Neovim and I noticed that my queries were not working, so between version 0.9.4 and 0.10.0 of Neovim there are breaking changes in terms of treesitter queries, I suggest you go to this file in the ray-x/go.nvim repository so you can see the queries for both Neovim 0.9.4 and 0.10.0 versions.

You can try https://github.com/ray-x/go.nvim or at least use it's code to implement sql embed.

I've not used it but apparently this has been recommended before for Go dev with Neovim: https://github.com/ray-x/go.nvim

I'm using lazyvim. everything is working as expected for Go Dev environment. I'm using this plugin for the configuration ray-x/go.nvim. My problem is that the selection movements work, like af, if... but for movements like '[m', it's not working, I just get the default behavior of moving to the next '[' and not the start of the method.

Despite that i have trouble setting up Golang-LSP related stuff. Go.nvim seems to do the trick science autocompletion comes with it, but I can't interpret the instructions for setting it up with NvChad .

NeoVim, if you don't want to mess around configuring your own setup you can use xray-go

On a serious note though, I have been so pleased using neovim to write go. Between native LSP support and https://github.com/ray-x/go.nvim I find my setup very feature-rich and user friendly.

To get started, simply install the plugin using your favorite plugin manager, such as vim-plug or packer.nvim. You can find detailed installation instructions in the README.

Is there a particular reason why you would want to use vim plug in Lua? If you're new to neovim, I would highly recommend that you pick one of the popular Lua-based package managers (Lazy and Packer) and use those. Perhaps also check out TJ's kickstart.nvim if you want a slightly less barebones initial setup.

Snapshot provides the same functionality but is much harder to use IMHO, see https://github.com/wbthomason/packer.nvim/issues/1009 they describe what people expect from a lock file and how it's integrated in a way that is developer friendly and it's still open.
