I did this tool https://github.com/Mte90/gitapper for git that is a git wrapper/alias with script executed before/after a git command to replace some behavior and integrate it with fzf as example.

People who like/use Git - How much coding do you do?
I recommend reading Practical Git by Johan Abildskov, and practicing with the git katas. You don't need the book to do the katas. You can just follow the suggested learning path listed in the repo. The book is a big help, though.

What are the advantages of creating new branch per commit
Practice playing around with stuff like multiple remotes and interactive rebase, you can use something like git katas to practice it (disclaimer: I haven't used this but have heard good things).

I just fixed my first merge conflict
One of the things he recommends are git katas, which are short exercises that teach you about some aspect of git. You don't need the book in order to do the katas, but the book certainly helps by explaining more in depth what's going on.
