How to set up GitHub with Visual Studio Code
dev.to | 2021-10-08
By now, you should’ve created a GitHub account and have Git installed. If you haven’t done that, then head over here. Once you’re done, head over to the Repositories section and click on “New”.

Make small prototypes to test these implementations out, learn to use git (see: Working with Git and GameMaker Studio 2) sooner rather than later.

Git installation is pretty straightforward; just head on to the site and install it according to your OS. It has no prerequisites. Make sure that you also have your Git Bash with the bundle. Git Bash is basically a terminal that is a bit personalized for Git. Windows users are recommended to use it over your cmd/powershell. Although the VSCode terminal is also very supportive.

Found some creative posters for a few movies for ya.
reddit.com/r/PlexPosters | 2021-10-04
Look into Plex Meta Manager - you absolutely could drop in a bunch of alt posters, let them update, then revert back afterwards.
New Server - do I have to manually change posters again?
reddit.com/r/PleX | 2021-09-29
Use 3rd Party Apps: the Plex-Meta-Manager can also do a lot of things to handle metadata like create collections, assign Posters etc based on configurations for your libraries. This is especially useful if you want to create collections based on outside lists like the IMDB Top 100.
Best of plugin?
reddit.com/r/PleX | 2021-09-28
If you want to integrate, for example, Lists based on outside sources like the IMDB Top 100 or something like that then I can only recommend Plex-Meta-Manager which can create collections based on a configuration. It is also a good way to have your collections saved somewhere that you can restore if something would happen with your plex configuration.

Plex Meta Manager, set it to make collections on a schedule. Example Movies.yml I use smart_label collections. Basically it adds a label to each movie in the list then makes a smart collection, this way you don't have to worry about movies being hidden. You can install it as docker or script either way I just set a crontab to execute the script, see below
Anyway to fix this yet?
reddit.com/r/PleX | 2021-09-21
But I use PMM for making collections and this has integrated the original script into the collection tool so it's all under one script now https://github.com/meisnate12/Plex-Meta-Manager

You can achieve this (mostly) with Plex-meta-manager in terms of collections. It takes quite a bit of configuration, and the learning curve is significant, but you can use it to setup collections that you want to play in a certain order. It's an app that interfaces with the Plex API to create collections in a programmed way.
Scripted Adding of Folders to Libraries

I won't go the "asking why" route, except maybe also offer another potential solution. Don't worry about grouping outside of Plex - do the grouping inside of Plex with Plex Meta Manager - https://github.com/meisnate12/Plex-Meta-Manager.
