Then there's the fact that starting with Android 11 it's no longer necessary to first use ADB over USB to initiate ADB over network so, anybody can start ADB on the device itself, use apps like Shizuku, LSPatch (rootless Xposed), LADB, Termux (apt install adb) etc, automate the ADB commands (via Tasker, let's say) on system boot-up and so on (to let's say, disable the shitty OEM/carrier app packages etc).

Install Termux app and launch it.

you can use Termux with SocksDroid to use tor as VPN or Orbot (Available At PlayStore) for accessing onion sites, and there's tor browser for android

ReVanced (YouTube mod) --> and thus Termux also (to create ReVanced apk using this ReVanced Builder)

You just have to install it directly from the APK or via f-Droid.

I use it on Android 13 for simple mobile development and it works great.

For me, Termux is a killer app that makes my Android phone a general purpose pocket computer.

If you're the nerdy type, Termux with yt-dlp installed is also very good. I've got a custom termux-url-opener script that I use instead of Seal sometimes when I need something specific (i.e., auto-numbering based on chapters, downloading Bandcamp albums with soundscrape, etc.).
