Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I have 400 locations in Excel; how can I easily add their addresses into the same sheet?
Apart from the mentioned solutions, you can try this code I wrote a while ago: https://github.com/krijnsent/geo_vba

Can I Create a Heat Map with Excel Data for a Downtown Area?
As u/Grey_Patagonia_Vest describes: you could add some more information like a postal code to the address. If you're looking for "main street", that will give tons of hits, if you add a postal code and/or city there is a higher chance you get to your desired location/city. I've built this toolkit, based on OpenStreetMap / Nominatim to transform addresses to lat/long -> https://github.com/krijnsent/geo_vba , using the geo_nom_search function, you could give it a try.

Using VBA CSV interface to work with USA Cartographic Boundary Files (Shapefiles)
Not sure if it is of any use to you, but OSM has quite some data too. I have some code in a repository that could be of assistance: https://github.com/krijnsent/geo_vba

Where/How do you take track of notes
Here's a code repo that I've had for years now.

VBA Username and Password Regex (MS Access)
You can view any updates to this function via github.

[OUTLOOK/EXCEL/WORD] Easy way to add Context Menus/Right-Click Menus to VBA UserForms
But in any event, there's an API to check a window's class name (GetClassName) or you could just use u/sancarn 's Accessibility Inspector (link), or you can get the hWnd and otherwise control the appearance, dimensions and functionality of the Userform by using the Userform class by u/ViperSRT3g (link) or by using his WinAPI class (GetUFHandle).
-
(VBA) Starting at B4 I want to count how many cells in row 4 until the cell saying "Grand Total" is reached.
What are you doing with this project overall? (Also you can view more of where those functions came from here)
-
Can I create function to run a few lines of VBA code instead of typing the same code multiple times?
If the four lines of code are literally to identify the bottom left most cell of data on a sheet, then functions for that already exist. The GetLastRow function from that module would be the code you'd reuse.
-
[WORD] [EXCEL] Can I build a tiny desktop application that can be a friendly-UI "splash page" basically for my templates?
This would certainly be simplest with launching from a userform stored in Excel. You could make it more fancy and look like a standalone application with extra code libraries but they wouldn't be necessary.
- Harness the power of the WINAPI to improve your Userform design!

Field Change Auditing between an Access database and Excel Calculation Engine
Here's a module I use for generating hashes. It can handle SHA256/512 which is entirely overkill for this, but it's simple and easy. To generate a hash, concatenate all the fields of a record together and pass that to one of the SHA_String functions.

How would I do a find all type of thing in vba?
Ah, I ran into this problem years ago so I created the RangeFindAll function to do the work for me. It operates on the same idea as when you use CTRL+F to find a value on a worksheet. It loops through everything it finds and adds each cell to a range reference, then spits that out once it realizes that it has looped through all cells with that value. Here's an example of how simple it is to work with:
What are some alternatives?

Export-MS-Project-to-MS-Excel - Export tasks, Gantt chart and resources from MS Project to MS Excel. No additional software or installation required. Using build-in MS Project features (VBA).
Excelerator - This is an Excel Addin for Windows that reads and writes data to Snowflake
VBA_personal - Library with VBA, used in multiple projects.
Power-Refresh - Schedule refresh of any Excel file using open-source scheduler & refresher written on VBA
Serial-Ports-in-VBA-Extra-Simple-2022 - Minimal Version
