So then, I emerged eselect repository and git. The goal of this was to be able to use this overlay. After enabling the repos and emerging ltoize, I finally got my make.conf file ready for world emerge. I'm going to share it here:

Without using a third party tool like LTOize, is there a way to stop Portage from stripping or
Take a look at the ltoize files, looks like they just change the default cflags and have a collection of fixes for packages that don't work with their default. So packages that strip custom flags would still do so.

What's the recommended way to gcc11 optimize your system ? Is lto-overlay still recommended or should you use clang ?

How do I check if my GentooLTO is working?
Now on the topic, I have finally got a 5900x and decided to try using this ( https://github.com/InBetweenNames/gentooLTO ).
The readme tells you everything you need to do. Specifically, you need to source that make.conf.lto in your make.conf. If you did that, then it should work.

Emacs bankruptcy
Spacemacs (most stars & most contributors) and DoomEmacs (most commits) were 1st and 2nd, but I wanted to keep emacs key binding and so I chose spacemacs with emacs bindings.
