Just installed on my pi today, If I knew what I was doing I would use docker, but at the same time, I don't want my bad docker skills to make me end up losing my files. I downloaded mine from the github. https://github.com/nextcloud/nextcloudpi/releases

Turning an old Android phone into a SBC
Nextcloud is functionally similar to Dropbox, Office 365 or Google Drive but is self-hosted so you are in control of your data. This version is a lightly-forked version of NextCloudPi, which was developed for SBCs like the Raspberry Pi. Only a few changes from upstream and some SysV initscripts were required to get this working nicely in Linux Deploy.

Raspberry Pi Encryption
About installing the instance, I recommend using Docker (in particular, use docker-compose.yaml files instead of running docker commands) - an all-in-one setup is available by using Docker -> https://github.com/nextcloud/all-in-one/ - a lighter all-in-one with only Nextcloud and features to make it available online -> https://github.com/nextcloud/nextcloudpi - if you want Nextcloud only locally -> https://github.com/nextcloud/docker#base-version---apache (this is a good example of what you can put inside a docker-compose.yaml file)

NextCloud v24 Server for Android (NextCloudPi in Linux Deploy)
