Fortigate Exporter for Prometheus
A few months back I created an exporter using the Fortigate API to enable people to monitor their Fortigate firewalls using Prometheus. You can find it here: https://github.com/bluecmd/fortigate_exporter.

Agent less Windows server monitoring tools?
The windows_exporter has been moving collectors away from WMI to more native OS APIs for performance and reliability.
The windows_exporter is a good option.

Prometheus exporter for Playnite game statistics
I wrote a Playnite plugins that saves the data in the correct format to be served by Windows Exporter (which automatically exports all operating system infos + any text file put in a specific folder). I could have chosen to export data directly on HTTP actually, but that would be more difficult to do from a Playnite extension I guess (I'm not very good at PowerShell).

Monitoring Rust web application with Prometheus and Grafana
System metrics of machines can be exported with Node exporter or Windows exporter.

DFSR Monitoring
We are also trialing this Prometheus exporter but it again is missing backlog. If anyone is using this I'm curious what metrics should be observed, alerted on?

Apple's Plan to “Think Different” About Encryption Opens a Backdoor to Your Life
I think on Windows it's not only based on a missing signature. I sometimes get the "this file may damage your computer" message. There's also an "ignore" button hidden below a "more" button, but it in the end it lets you use it. But it doesn't always happen. [0]
It's not very user friendly, but it might be a bit more intuitive than apple's special dance of click right -> open to bypass said controls.

[0] For example, the Prometheus exporter for windows x64 is not signed and doesn't trigger the alert. I can download it (no alert) click open (no alert) and it runs . The x32 version does have a "this may damage your computer" alert in the browser (edge).
